Today we’ll explore three of Olvera’s greenest, most scenic spots, all tucked inside the historic centre . Okay, Olvera is mostly white…but we found the green bits for you.
Olvera's Grand Prix Tiki Tour
​First stop:
We’ll start with a secret cliffside garden, lovingly maintained by a local resident. Think of it as Olvera’s private version of the Garden of Eden, complete with views of the Moorish castle and the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación.
Second stop:
Then we’ll climb the steps (your daily cardio!) to the Sacred Heart Garden at Plaza de la Alameda, where lush vegetations leads you up tot he statue of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Up there, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view, and possibly a light breeze to cool you off.
Third stop:
Finally, we’ll visit the Peñon Cerretillo, Olvera’s new green zone. Once just a rocky outcrop, it’s now a peaceful lookout spot where nature and the skyline come together perfectly for your next postcard or Instagram story.
